Softball season coming up

It's that time again. Softball season sign ups. Christina at first did not want to. I told her that if she did not play then she needs to remember that for the next activity. We have over 100 dollars in equipment that she wanted. We told her if she was not going to stick with it then we were not going to go all out and buy her a bag, bat, helmet, and nice glove. She could have just used the coaches equipment. She realized she did promise and it was a promise she is being held to. I do not want to seem like I am forcing her to play but I do believe she had alot of fun meeting new girls and playing. I think it is important to be in some type of school activity. Keeps her active and healthy.

My problem is going to be attending all the games. There is smoking, hot sun, and kids running around. I am just not sure if I can take the baby there and know he is safe. I personally think the smoking thing is stupid. People should not be allowed to smoke at a school sponsored events around children. I do not care if it is outside. I think is shows a made example to the kids. Kids running around is easy, I know some of the parents and they will stop them if there is a baby around. I also have a really really nice travel set that is solid. So I do not know really what I think. I am excited however of being able to take him out unlike having a fall baby or a winter baby. Sucks being stuck inside the first couple weeks. I am very excited about walking him and being outside with him early on. Having a June baby is going to be so nice.

Satruday at work

My job is so rewarding. Probably my favorite part about my job is taking a client out to do something fun. I took one of my clients out to eat for lunch. We had such a good time. We went to Perkins and chowed down. We talked and then went shopping at Big Lots. I have to say those mirrors in public bathrooms have to be magnified because I look huge in them lol.

Then I went back home with her and cleaned. We dusted and swept all the bedrooms. We cleaned all the bedspreads. We watched a movie til the the other clients came home from the bowling alley. Then it was dinner time and before we knew it bath time. I gave meds and did some more chores and went home. I have to sleep at some point. 12 hours really wears me out. So now I have 12 hours off then I go back for round 2. Good news though I have next weekend off. Maybe the family and I will do something fun. Great part about working the weekend is looking forward to the next one off with your kids. We treasure those days. I love being a working mom and having such a great balance of work and home. Works great for me and my family. 27 hours is plenty a week. And I still can help with bills. Makes me very happy. I think a great balance is what keeps my family very happy and healthy.

I do not think people realize it is alot to think about.

It's not something you take lightly. It's not something you  jump into with both feet before you know what you are doing. It's something you really think about. Having another child is all of that.

When Randy and I were deciding to have another child we really thought about my health first. I have HG and the reality of it is that I am sick for about 2-3 months non stop. I loose a significant amount of weight and the cost of my treatment is very expensive. We saved up alot of money in order for me to be off work with my sickness. Without that goose egg we would have lost everything. Our house which is the most important thing in our lives. It is the roof over our head. A wise person once said your wealth comes from your house and the property you own.

Well we made it. I am now six months pregnant and doing great. I can't help but to wonder how people just jump into it. My brother is a great example. Him and his girlfriend are planning another baby. They barely have a place to live, their child is dirty and they barely take care of her. Yet they think they are ready for another. I am very concerned. I mean very concerned. I really hope they take a good look at their lives before they decide to bring another into this world.

My brother is a very smart man. I love him with all my heart. But the last couple years I have been so disappointed in the way he has been running his life. Not because I think I am better but because I know he is so much more than what he is living up to. He cannot seem to stay off the drugs. He cannot keep a good job. He lives in filth and is basically married to this lazy women who refuses to get a job or do anything to better herself. They are 23 now and nothing has changed. It's the same crap every year. Living place to place. Borrowing money and having my mother bail them out time after time. When does it end? Yet when they heard I was having a boy they decided they wanted one too. I know it is not my business but I think it is a very very very bad idea.

One thing I cannot wrap my brain around is why nobody has a job. I know jobs are hard to come by in this town. But my brother has had chances at better jobs and has failed drug tests. Chance after chance to better himself has come his way and every time he wastes it. I get so upset when I get on facebook and see how they took their tax money and got tattoos. How they blew their money and now they have two months in the house they currently are renting with no jobs. No money coming in. There have been times where I just want to call children service on them. I know that sounds bad but I am so tired of my niece suffering. Not being cared for like she deserves. Nobody will speak up. I am afraid if I do my brother will never talk to me again. But at the same time someone has too and soon.

I am not trying to slander my brother I am just trying to write this down so that I can figure out a way I can help him. Someone has to be able to make him see the life he is living is harmful to his child. The women he is with mark my words will never amount to anything. She will never work. She will never do anything but sit on her ass and make him work like a dog. That is no way to live a life. She needs to be going to school or she needs to have a job. Some kind of progress needs to be made. I doubt that will ever happen. She is the most laziest person I have ever came in contact with. Last time I was at their place it was not clutter it was filth. Trash everywhere. Sorry but if you do not have a job you need to have a clean house. Makes me so mad to see my niece living in these conditions. Then I see she is planning to smoke weed with her friends. Are you kidding me? Smoke weed when you are on welfare. When there is not a job in the house? Ugh I get so angry.

I really hope they think. A child is more laundry, money, space, and more responsibility. I remember his girlfriend used to cry because she had to get up with her child!!! My mother ( who is no saint) got so tired of it when they lived with her that she went off. They ended up moving out and moving in with her parents yet again. I really hope something changes in their future because I do not know how much longer I can just watch. I may have to make a call.

I almost let the cat out of the bag...........

Unfortunately due to my co worker being incredibly religious I am not allowed to be myself. Why? Because I know she will hate me. She will make my life misabrl and I will have to listen to a church service  every Wednesday. Well yesterday I almost said something. I bit my tongues so hard that it bled. We were watching tv right? Well the news was on and it was talking about same sex marriages. She lets out a big "Thank you Jesus!" I asked her what was going on. She starts on a tangent about how God hates gays and how she does not care if they think they are born that way. I told her I was a Unitarian Universalist (which is partly true ) and I believe all beliefs are up the same mountain. Of course she knows more than me and kept on and on about the bible. I never heard such hate in my life!!! If religion does not breed hate and ignorance I do now know what does. Anyway, I changed the subject. Because I knew if we kept on this one I was going to make her cry! I almost said that how can God not love everyone? If there is a God why would he make homosexuals then want to punish them? I decided I should say nothing. Just let her hate. One day science will explain almost everything and there will be no use for religion. I cannot wait til that day so I can be myself without worry of being mistreated.

Funny how that all works huh? They are allowed to say what they want because their view point is much more acceptable. If I say anything they will make my life a living hell. I do not believe in gods. I believe in science. I believe religion had it's use once upon a time when things were not able to be explained. It was used to fill in the gaps of why. But today with all the technology and science I see no use for it. I believe in god like I believe in the Easter bunny, Santa clause, and the tooth fairy. The bible is a book of fairy tales in which none of them have not been proven true or even possible. That is what I believe. I do not believe some man in the sky is going to judge your every move and if you do not do what he says you are going to hell. If there is a god I would like to think that he or she would love all their creations and allow all of them to be rewarded after this life. What do I do? I live life to the fullest, take care of my children and be myself. If that is not good enough and if I have to believe in a god who will not show himself to go to heaven. Well I am better off in hell. Plus all the intelligent people will be there. The ones that have questioned life. I would rather be in hell with them, then in heaven with a bunch of people who cannot think for themselves. Who follow some book of hate and contradictions. If god is perfect then the bible would not exist because it has more contradictions in it then anything I have ever read. My motto and what I am going to leave you thinking about today is
"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."
— Carl Sagan
There being a god is an extraordinary claim and I have yet to see any evidence.

We want you to have the children but do not have any way to feed them or keep you healthy!

I am amazed! I am not even sure if that is the right word. Maybe I should try the word shocked. The republicans make no damn sense. They want people to have all their children, no abortions. But in the same breath they do not want women to have health services such as Planned Parenthood. Then they want to take away the wic program which helps low income families all over the country. Are you freaking kidding me? So let me get this straight, you want us to have children and then not take care of ourselves so we can take care of these children? How in the hell does that make any sense? Oh they did not only go that far. They also tried to repel the health care bill which allowed women to receive free screening through their insurance with no copays. I feel like it is a war on women!!!!!

I would like to clear up the rumor or the pure ignorance going around about planned parenthood. NO they do not use taxpayers money to do abortions. That is brought to you by the republicans. Planned Parenthood will give you an abortion if your insurance will pay for it or if you are paying for it out of your own pocket. There are no federally funded abortions. Those who think so really need to learn to read.

Please if you have time take some action. We cannot let this happen! Women need screenings to prevent cancer and spreading of stds. We also need to be educated on prevention of pregnancy.

My hobbies.........

I am absolutely  in love with editing pictures. So much so that I do not even take my girls to a studio to get pictures done. I edit my own print them out and save a ton of money! These are my newest creations. I printed off a couple but they are mostly for Randy's mother who has a huge shelf where she keeps the girls pictures. She takes my pictures off shutterfly and does her grandma thing. The only thing I do not like about my pictures is the shadow and glare in some. I am working on making sure that does not happen. My girls are awesome! They pose like pros. Not to mention they are freaking gorgeous little girls. They love their new dresses and hats. They loved getting pictures in them. Plus it was in the comfort of our own home. I do this every year. I never thought it would be this soon though. I was hoping to do some outside ones. I guess I can still do that.

Randy is driving me crazy! he lost his wallet! It has everything in it! I could beat him! There is only room for one person loosing things and that is me! I guess he forgot that loosing things was my job. I really hope he find it. I have looked and looked. I have no idea where his hat and wallet could be. I guess I better get back to looking. I have to work soon. I have a whole night of doing that. I am working with Char so it should be a fun night. She is awesome!

Weekend........ think things are coming together!

Saturday I spend the day covered in white powder. I think sanding should be a man's job! Randy spent the day grocery shopping, and working on my crib. Ever since I was sick he has taken over the grocery shopping. I am not complaining. I actually am too tired to shop most of the time. I say hey if he wants to shop he can go right ahead. I stayed home cleaned, did laundry, and started to prep the baby's room. I was busy the whole time. Before we knew it we were eating dinner and the day was over. My Saturday off went way too fast.

Today, we headed to Mansfield to go shopping and keep a promise to the girls about going to Chuckie Cheese. We had such a good time. We stuffed ourselves with pizza and played til we were tired. The girls got some small junkie toys for like 200 plus tickets. Then we walked around the mall for a bit. The girls picked out some new necklaces from Claires, and we looked at the prom dresses! Yes I am trying to live through my girls. I never got to go to prom because I was a teen mom. I cannot wait to go shopping for their dresses.

Before the mall and Chuckie Cheese we went to Harbor Frieght, What a bore lol. Then we went to Burlington. I spent way too much money there! I got another set of towels for Corbin and the girls got a spring dress with a hat. I got some breastfeeding bras and a pair of maternity shorts and underwear. Yes I am turning into a cow! Mooooo! I could not believe how unforgiving some of the mirrors have been lately. Goodness, this boy is going to be big!

Growing up and being a better person...... Especially after Ida.

My mother was always the drama type. As I look back I see myself alot like her in my early 20s maybe even before that. She was always quick to anger and quickly jumped to conclusions. I have learned that things are not always as they seem. Sometimes you need to take a moment and process everything. Sometimes you need to sleep on it. I have learned to pick my battles and forgive people. I have learned to own my actions and deal with the consequences of my bad behavior.

Somehow though my mother has not learned this yet. To this day she claims to have done nothing wrong as a parent. She never hit me as a teen with Christina in my arms. She never punched me three times in the face when I was an adult during an argument. She never kicked me out of the house with my infant daughter. She never called me names and put me down. No Ida Mae does nothing wrong! She is always right and you better do what she wants you to do or their will be hell to pay. She will never ever take responsibility for her actions and she will never own that she has screwed me up in ways. Nope never!

So if I am funny about relationships it may be because I have always been hurt. I am quick to judge and quick to protect myself. Always putting a sheild up. Every since I met Randy though I have been slowly changing. I am making friends at work. I am learning to forgive. I am reflecting upon my past actions and learning from them. I am trying hard to be a good example for my girls. No I am not perfect. I am the first one to stand up and say I have done some really bad things. But the point is I am trying. I am trying to better myself. I am trying to get past the cycle of abuse. I finally think it is broken at least for my children. The cycle of addiction is broken too. I do not do drugs, rarely drink. I see the effects it has had on my family and I have chosen a better life for me. I am a phoenix out of the ashes. I might of came from nothing but I refuse to be nothing. I learned you cannot love anyone til you love yourself. I love myself. I love being me. Took me years to get here but I am here. I will never be done improving myself but I have come along way. Especially after having Ida as a mother.

Work never ends even on your day off!!!

The sun was out today and everything was just too beautiful to stay indoors. Avanelle and I went shopping at the little strip mall. I got some really good deals at  Kohls. I got the girls two new outfits, Randy some new shirts and me some new maternity pants. As I was looking around at Kohls I found a treasure! Atleast what I consider a treasure. I found out they have Eric Carle books on sale. Five dollars a piece!! You cannot beat that! I was so happy! I love Eric Carle he is my favorite author. After Kohls we headed to the dollar tree, thrift store and to McDonald for lunch. We had a great time. Went home, ate and blew bubbles outside. The wind really picked up so eventually we had to come inside.

Before we knew it Tina and Daddy were home! We missed them. Randy's dad came over to help him cut the wood for our crib.  Randy also got Tina's chair together between all his cutting. We ordered pizza ate together.

After we ate, the girls and I headed out to do some spring shopping. I really wanted to get a little garden started. We picked out some seeds and started getting busy. I had to get some new house plants. Mine had died last year. I just do not feel like a home is a home without plants. Glad to finally have some again. After all of that I am exhausted.

What are we up to this weekend? Well I hope to get Corbin's room prepped, do art projects with the girls, plant some more, and clean up my dirty room. Might even catch up on some laundry. My weekend off go fast so I do not have too high of expectations when it comes to getting all of that done. I hope I do but I may not. If I can just get my art projects done and some cleaning I will be happy. Randy on the other hand is going to be working his butt off in the garage on the crib. He is going to be cutting and cutting. I am also pregnant and tired all the time. I hope to have a good weekend. Hopefully productive.

Designing big sister shirts.

I love to scrapbook. I love to download graphics and dress up my pictures. This got me thinking, I could do the same but with shirts. So I decided to make Big Sister shirts for my girls. You can design and print out the design on iron on paper. Then you iron them on and you have a great looking shirt. For Christina, I am going to have three owls. One representing each of my children. I brought up an owl in paint and changed the colors to my liking. I made Tina's blue and green because they are my favorite colors and I know she will like them too. For Avanelle's I made her a pattern purple and added one owl representing Cobin. I think I may have to center her name better but overall it looks great. I think I might make a couple more shirts for summer. I love the owl look and not to mention the retro look. I hope the girls like them. I need to go out today and get shirts and transfer paper. It is going to save me a bunch of money. It would have been ever 30 dollars for two shirts like this online. I probably can get away with it being 20 saving me about 10 dollars. Plus they are personalize. You can spend alot of money on personalization. Believe me I looked into it. I am also going to put Corbin's name on his little brother onsie and his hat. This is going to be his take home outfit from the hospital. I hope to get a picture of them in their shirts. I think it will be super cute. Well I am off to make lunch and wait for my hubby to cal me.

Avanelle my little artist

Avanelle got her desk yesterday! She loves it and so do I! Everyday we work on letters, shapes, and numbers. She is getting it down and it is nice to have a place to do that now. She loves to paint and we do that often. I love being her first teacher and I plan on continuing til she goes to school. Might be tough when the baby gets here but I plan on being the same Mommy I was with Tina. I think that is one reason why Tina does so well in school. I taught her at home first and she just excelled. She knew what to expect. I am very grateful to get a little individual time with all my children. That is the best part about spacing them. Ava will be going to school in a year then I can start working with Corbin and having the same time I had with each of them. I love being a Mommy. I love being their first teachers and getting them ready for life. Someday they will be successful and they will look back and say, my mom always prepared me. She was always there teaching me and guiding me.

This desk is perfect for all our needs too. It is a desk and easel in one!! So when she is done practicing her letters she can flip it up and  paint or color with markers. She loves having a place just like her big sister!

Open conversations with your daughters.

The thing about daughters is they have alot of changes that take place around 8-Adult. They get breast buds and periods. So much to go over. So many questions for mom to answer. Christina is no exception. She has been wearing a training bra for a week now. She is finding that her breast are tingly and tender. I remember those days. You feel so awkward. I am trying my best to be there for her and let her know that no question is silly and she can always come to me. I may not know everything but I know enough to find the answers.

Today she wanted to know when you know you are about to have your period. I told her that you get cranky, you get cramps and then you spot. She wondered how I always know I am going to get mine. I told her that it's more complicated for me because I chart my temp and I know my body. Someday if she wants I will teach her how to do that. I was very pleased with her coming to me. She trusts me. Later, we went out and she wanted a few more bras. I bought her a couple more.

I cannot believe Tina is growing up so fast. I just hope I can be the mother I never had to her. Nice to have a good open relationship with your daughters.

Friday, Valentines day and Everything else coming together.

Friday was unbelievable. We had such a great night. We went to Ceddars to eat and to Target shopping. The kids each got a new toy. Ava is very into my little pony and Tina got a webkins.Ceddar's food was awesome. They were packed but we got our food and had a great time out as a family. After that it was shopping at my favorite store Target. Shopping always energizes me lol. We finished there and had to go home. I was disappointed but that is life. On the way home I was car sick. Not a good ending to a great night but I was ok by the next day.

Weekend was exhausting. Working 12 hours sucks. But it pays our mortgage and it is necessary. Saturday went by fast and Sunday dragged on and on forever. But I came home to a clean house and new table set. Randy did a great job keeping the house clean and helping with laundry. He also took down the ceiling fans in the kids rooms. I am so glad for that. I hate celing fans in general. I am so glad they have a regular light now.

I also order then both a new desk. They both need something to color on besides my nice new table set. Plus the baby is going to be receiving alot of stuff in the mail. I want to make them feel good too. I do not want to to feel left out. They need something nee too.

So today is Valentine's day! I got the kids little boxes of candy. I gave Avanelle's her's already and you would have thought I gave her a gold mine! She really appreciated it. She said " Thanks Mommy, its exactly what I wanted. I love chocolate". Nice to be appreciated! I am also making a heart shaped cake for my family. Thinking of making it dark chocolate with purple icing. I went out to the store and bought Randy a new outfit. I hope he likes it. The man needs clothing. He ruins all his working. Well I am off to work hoping to have a great day. I cannot believe Randy thought that he could hide those roses from me lol. I found them when I was baking my cake. Silly husband!

We have our taxes back! Time to get busy!

I woke up early to discover our taxes are back! I got busy shopping for the baby. I got his swing, bouncer, traveling set, mattresses, nursing bras, onsies, socks, and anything else I could think of for the baby. I got all new breast pump parts. I really needed them. I am so excited to get started. I bought the fisher price rocker bouncer, Baby Trend ( who has great car seat reviews) for my traveling set, I got the rain forest baby swing, and I got mattresses for both my cradle and my crib.

We are also purchasing a bigger table set for our family. We are going to be a family of five soon and the seating we have just does not work.I also hope to find a great deal on a child's desk for Tina. I hope to get that for her soon. She needs a quiet place to do homework. The girls need spring clothing.  After that we have to buy wood and pay medical bills. Money gone at that point. But that is life. You have to get the essentials at the time you need them. We definitely need all the stuff I mentioned. So excited to get shopping!

Corbin Lee is a boy still!!!

I had a little doubt just because I was only 15 weeks and I know they can be wrong. But today we had another ultrasound at 22 and he is all boy! So my dream is in fact coming true. I am finally having my son. I have no doubt that he is all boy! He was face down and very active. He had his little butt in the air just moving and kicking. At one point he looked like he was waving at us. The girls loved it. I think this has made them even more excited. I feel comfortable now making big purchases on furniture and other baby items. I am so ready to shop tomorrow when I get paid. I am finally having my boy. Still seems unreal. I am so excited though. Funny how life is so good to Randy and I. We have our family just the way we want it. Two beautiful girls and a little man. Life cannot get better than that! I love being a Mommy! I am very grateful. Well I am exhausted. I think I may rest the rest of the night. This baby is a vampire and loves sucking all my energy away.

Super mom is tired!

I clean, cook, make babies, drive kids everywhere, work 2nd shift, take care of kids, stop arguments and run out of energy! I am supermom who need some rest!

The rest of my week  looks good and crappy. Tonight I work til 11. I took on an extra day this week because of my coworker burning herself or something like that. Anyway, Then I have a very busy day tomorrow. I have to get Tina to school, take my cpr class, get Tina from school and make it to my ultrasound on time. Ugh! so tired I feel like I could sleep 24 hours a day. I started taking iron due to my past anemic pregnancies but I am not sure if it is helping. I just want to rest the weekend. Nope I can't I actually have to work 12 hour shifts. In all I got 35.25 hours this week. I know sounds wimpy but imagine doing that and waking up every morning taking your daughter to school and taking care of a 3 year old. Then going to work and taking care of older ladies til 11. Then I wake up and do it all over again. So yes I am a very hard working mother. Not to mention all the chores I do around the house. I have to keep up on the dishwasher, clothing, mop vacuum, and keep a three year old entertained.

Friday my last day off, I am going to Mansfield mall shopping. We are getting clothes for the girls. I hope to look a some baby stuff too while we are there. We are going to eat out, come home and I am going to have to start my 12 hour shifts. I have to take my client bowling and wow that is exhausting. I cannot wait til Tuesday when I am off again and can rest after a long weekend. I have next weekend off and Randy and I are getting to work on the nursery. So much to do. The girls have to paint their picture for the nuersery and help up set things up. I am trying hard to involve them. Life is just going to get busier I know. I hope by then I have some energy to do it all!

Christina is becoming a women! I cannot believe I am bra shopping!

Seems like yesterday I was holding my 5 pound baby. She was small for gestational age and was born sick. She was not very alert and slept alot. Now she is a nine year old tween. I noticed she has breast buds. This is the beginning of puberty. Really thinking about it has me happy but sad at the same time. She is my oldest and I cannot believe how fast she has grown.

Friday I am taking her shopping. I cannot believe we are going to be in the bra asil for the first time together. This is going to be a great mother- daughter bonding moment. I remember my mother making this situation very uncomfortable. I want her to find it fun. Maybe I will spurge and take her to Columbus into the Justice for girls store. She really likes that store. Let her pick out two new outfits and some bras. I am getting excited. I have a chance here to be the mom, that my mom wasn't. I want to make her feel like I am not only her mother but a go to friend. She can feel comfortable talking to me about changing or fears. I am here and I have already been through puberty and survived! I am very sad though this is a new chapter I was not expecting to go through already. I feel scared and happy. I know the tween and teen years are hard. Sometimes mothers and daughters fight. I hope that Tina and I have a strong relationship that gets through it.

You know at this age not having my father around really bugged me. I used to cry all the time. Tina does not do that. I mean the man did not even call his daughter on the holidays. He did not call her til a month later. She does not seem to care. I hope it's because Randy and her have the bond. Let's face it Jeff has no idea how to be a father. He brags about his step children but he never once has had to deal with anything with Christina growing up. Not her first tooth loss, first day of school nothing. Yet now she is becoming a women and he has missed out on all that time. By choice even. I am just glad Tina gets that it is what it is. She appreciates the little amount of time she gets with him. Once a year is not enough. Not enough to see your child grow or to have a good relationship with them. Sad but there is nothing I can do. I give him all the visitation he wants but he refuses to take advantage of it. He could see her almost every day if he wanted. We would not even have to have a parenting plan or anything written down. I know how important it is for a little girl to know her father. But she is not number one to him. Never has been. One of the reasons why we are not together. My child has always come first. My life has been about her and making sure she is happy. Jeff barely calls once a month. I know she could call him. She never wants to. They just do not have the bond a father and daughter should have. She is used to him being gone. She has also found a great dad in Randy. If I could go back in time he would be her biological father. Not Jeff. All the crap I had to deal I would have gotten smart and moved on. He was never worth it. Tina will know that someday on her own. She is not his number one. Hell she is not even number two. The first four priorities he has is himself.

Anyway, I am glad she is not experiencing heartache. She is growing up healthy and happy. She has a strong mother and a very strong father living with her. Who would have thought I would be saying I am taking her bra shopping? I never thought this day would come. It has though and I am ready for it. Ready to be a mom to a growing women. Tina is my daughter. I love her very very much. So much that I gave her the life she deserves. A home with a stable mother and father. That is the greatest gift you can give a child. Also a mother . she can talk to and trust.

My Wonderful weekend off! I love my family!

My weekend started with me and my husband going to a wood working convention at the expo center in Columbus,. I did not really want to go but I went because he wanted me to. Sometimes you have to go places you do not understand or want to go when you are married. This was one of thos times

Well the weather was not the best. It was sleeting almost the whole way there. I was kind of scared it would get worse. Luckily for us the weather straightened up. We went out to eat as a couple and then to the expo center. I do not have any pictures there all the walking about killed me. I was so tired. This child takes everything out of me. Randy got alot of good ideas and  I think he is ready to start in on that crib!

On Sunday, my sister came over for pizza and baby presents. I made some really cute baby cupcakes and we had a great time. I got her alot of stuff for breastfeeding and a nice breastfeeding pillow. I also gave her some hand me down bibs and my whole set that I had with Ava. I really love my sister. She is my best friend. Being able to share pregnancy with her has been a joy! Something I will never forget. I think it has made our sister bond stronger.Plus my sister seems to want to be like me when it comes to parenting. I am honored that she feels like I am the best mom she knows. I would say I am a damn good mom. My children have always come first. Their needs over mine. They have never went without. They never will. I hope my sister takes all my good qualities and raises Raelyn well. I know she will because like me she is educated. She has taken parenting classes and even early childhood. She knows childhood development. I am so proud of her!

Ugh it's always something! Huge Vent!!!!!!! Weekend plans.

Ugh! I was going to rest the rest of the day after going out in the ice to my doctor's appointment. Of course the co worker who likes to call off has an excuse for this weekend why she cannot work. It's always something. If she worked anywhere else she would be fired by now. No joke!

What makes me the most mad is there are people that would love to have a job and have a hard time finding one. Yet she can call off all the time and nothing is done. I really hope she quits soon like I heard she is going to. We need a dependable second shift member. I am so tired of killing myself to get things done. I am picking up her slack on grocery shopping and I am 21 weeks pregnant! Freaking stupid! I am just about done doing it. I am not going to kill myself because she refuses to do her job! Ugh!!

So I guess I am working tonight. But I told them I am not working all weekend too. They will have to find someone to do it. I feel bad because I know some of my coworkers have 50 plus hours but I am pregnant so I have a good excuse to why I do not want too much overtime.

Well I am done venting for now. What am I up to on my rare weekend off? Well Randy and I are going to a wood working convention and out to dinner together. I really do not care about the wood convention but I know it will mean alot to him if I go with him. He wants some alone time with me. I am just in it for the food lol! Sunday, my sister is coming over and we are going to have a small baby shower for her. I am going to order pizza and have some cupcakes. I am excited! I love doing things with my sissy! Well I am off to get ready for my lovely night at work. Hope it goes fast.

You want to know what is not fair?

That my daughter is more than ready for preschool but yet she has to wait til she is four. Why? Because we are over income. If I wanted her to go to early preschool I would have to pay over 200 dollars a month. What really sucks is that she wants to go. She cannot wait to go. But because I work and my husband works we make too much money. I think it is stupid that I have to pay for other people's kids because they choose not to work or choose not to get a good paying job. Why do I have to pay for something that my child cannot even use? I think there should be early public preschool that everyone no matter what income  can attend. I think early education is that important.

I am not gong to stress too much about it because my child can practically read. She probably would be bored anyway. She knows all her abcs, shapes, numbers, patterns, and all the letters in her name. We are still working on the writing part. She is still working on her fine motor skills. She is really progressing fast. I guess I will just have to settle for teaching her at home next year. I will have a baby and we will do sensory activities and play with the baby. I am educated enough to do both and make them age appropriate. So I guess teaching is my part-time job next year.

Can you believe Avanelle is three? Wow I can't either. Seems like yesterday i was pregnant with her. She has grown way too fast. Now she is about to be a big sister to her little brother in a few months. I never seen anyone so excited to be a big sister. Last night, she got to feel the baby move. She loved it! I am so happy I can share my pregnancy with her and Christina. They are so excited they cannot wait to have a baby brother.

Well that is about all I have today. There is no school because of ice and I have to work later. But today is my last day of the week.

I got a rasie and a great evlaution. But did you expect anything less?

I got evaluated yesterday for my job performance. It was a complete surprise I was only expecting to pick up my w2s. Well I did very well and now I make 9.15 an hour which is rather high for the job I have. Let me put it this way I could not do what I do at another company and get paid as much. So they have me stuck til I get my education and I can get a better job. I am not complaining though I love my job. It gives me a sense of purpose. I am a mother and a wife but I am also a care giver of three wonderful ladies. I love them like they are family! Seeing them happy is one of my greatest joys.

My evaluation was very good and I got all satisfactory and way above satisfactory. They know I will go above and beyond for those ladies. That is why. But did you expect anything less from me? I love my family I will do what I need to for them. I love the ladies at work and I will do what I need to for them. I am just a caring person who has more compassion then I know what to do with at times.  Sometimes I feel like I care too much. Is there such thing as that? I am the type of person who puts everyone's needs above mine. If there is time for me then I will do something for me. I have kids when is there time? Hardly ever

. So I went from 8.00 to 9.15 in almost five years. At a small company that is not bad. Especially a non profit company like Basinger is. Nobody at my job site makes that much. I doubt anyone will either because in all honesty I think most of them are there for only a check. I am there for other reasons. My bosses are well aware of how much I care for the ladies. They always mention that during my evaluations.

One thing that really bugs me is that it seems work ethic is going down. You see these young kids like my sister for instance, that do not want to work. That complain, never on time and call off constantly. What happened to coming in to work? What happened to wanting to impress the boss and make more money? What happened to honesty and sticking it out even when it is tough? We are an instant gratification nation. If we do not get what we want right now, then we move on. Or we milk the system for everything.it  has.  Then wonder why we are jobless. The most basic thing you can do to keep a job is to show up. Then you have being on time. After that you just have to do your job and do it well. After that its about  honesty. If your boss cannot trust you, you will not have a job long. Trust me, nobody wants to wonder if someone is stealing or lying. I hope to teach my children all of this so they become productive members of society. My boy especially.

This takes me back to my job history. I started working right out of high school. I got a job at Tri-Rivers daycare. I was never interviewed I was just handed the job by my teacher Mrs. Zahn. She loved me and know I was honest and would work hard for her. I worked there for almost two years before I had to quit and move to New York. After that I had a job with my Aunt's company. They could not keep me because I was never being paid right. They tried to take advantage of me. Raises never happened and I was very upset to see them not care about the clients. I could not work for a company like that.

Then I met Bob Basinger. I could tell right off he cared about people and I wanted to be part of that. I got an interview and was hired! I have been there since. I have been on two medical leaves and they have always allowed me to come back. Almost five years now. I have to say this is the best place I have worked at. This is my third job. I have never been fired, laid off. There has never been a reason to do that to me. I am an asset to the company. I have been told that at every job performance evaluation. I am very proud of myself. I have gave myself a great reputation.

My husband is the same. He has has three jobs. He has been at Whirlpool now for almost nine years. Never has been fired or laid off his whole working career.

I hope my children grow up and learn these work ethics from us. Because the world is getting worse and worse about having a job. People just hand things to their children. Even people my age have mommy and daddy bail them out. My children are going to work for what they want because that is how the world works. Nothing is free. Nothing is handed to you. If you want it, you save for it. You work hard for it. You get what you put into life. If you know nothing else from my blog know that. If you put in crap you get crap right back. If you do not do your job then you will not have one tomorrow. Who suffers? Well your family or your future family. Modeling this behavior for young children is essential to them having a job and keeping one someday. That is one reason why I work as hard as I do. So did you expect anything less from me? Everyone who knows me didn't.
